The inaugural Fetcher Dog Charity Ball raises £36,000!
On Friday 25th March 2022, the first Fetcher Dog Ball took place at Hogarth’s Hotel in Dorridge, Solihull.
A two-year delay due to Covid had initially put the brakes on the event however the team at Fetcher Dog, along with a dedicated committee of volunteers, pulled out all the stops to put on an event that everyone enjoyed, and a phenomenal amount of money was raised.
The night kicked off with a champagne reception and guests enjoyed an evening of live entertainment, a fast-paced auction with some incredible prizes, a raffle and finished dancing the night away until 2am!
Many of the auction prizes were donated and for that we are truly grateful. Jimmy Franks was our compere, and he ensured that the jam-packed evening ran smoothly.
Our objective on the evening was to raise £30,000 to enable us to employ a full time Head of Fundraising. The amount raised on the evening completely smashed that and we are so grateful. We hope that the new addition to the team will bring in £150,000 per year for the charity through Community & Corporate Fundraising, Trusts & Foundation Grants, a Major Donor program, Legacy and Events.
The charity receives no government funding, and we operate hand-to-mouth each month, we rely on the generous public to donate monthly to keep us going.
