Holly came to us as a local owner surrender as her family could no longer care for her. It was clear that Holly was very loved by her previous family when she was dropped off and that it was a very hard decision for the family.
This was written by Holly's previous family- '“DOB is 1/10/23, she has a lively, friendly disposition and is very excitable. She is used to living with children age 1,5,7&9 and is ok with other dogs. She is very excitable and bouncy on meeting other dogs and often requires a quick reprimand from an older dog before showing more submissive and less in your face behaviours. She has never ever been aggressive, just super playful. For that reason some smaller breeds and nervous or shy dogs find her too full on. She is fully house trained, crate trained and able to be left for 4-5 hrs in a large crate. She goes in her crate at night for 10-12 hrs and never has an accident. She is very bright and has completed 2 different training/socialisation puppy classes. Her recall is her weakness as she cannot really be walked off leash at this point other than in an enclosed field. She generally finds everything else a lot more interesting than coming back! But we've been working on it and do see improvements. She can again, fulfill all basic commands but this can be slightly unreliable when out and about. She's never bitten or been aggressive and never resource guards.”
Holly has been a wonderful addition to the kennels. As explained above, she has been very playful and excitable with all other dogs and people. Even though she has had some training in her previous home, she will need to go back over some of the things she has learnt when in a new environment.
