Edgar came to us after he was taken into a vets by someone claiming to have found him as a stray. Unfortunately, the vets did a bit of digging and believe the person who took him in was his owner looking for a way to dump him without repercussions. This put Edgar at risk of being put to sleep as the vet could not keep him longterm and the dog wardens would not collect him because of how he was handed over. Luckily, we had an Edgar sized space at the rescue with his name on it and were able to welcome him to Fetcher Dog.
Edgar was understandably confused and scared at the vets and based on his first few weeks at the centre, he can get overwhelmed in new places and with new people but does warm up to new people when they show him love and kindness. Edgar is a playful boy out in our field and he really enjoys bouncing around with a squeaky toy. Edgar has been good with the other dogs here at the centre but can get understandably scared if dogs are too over the top.
Edgar would love a quiet home where he can snooze on the lap of someone he loves, have lovely walks in the countryside and play with a lot of squeaky toys. We do not know anything about his life before arriving to us so please expect to do full training upon adoption.
