Chilmington Green Secondary School help us with our adoptions by drawing our dogs!! Say Hello to Hazel!!
Hazel was rescued from a public shelter in Bosnia.
The public shelter is unsupervised and the dogs receive no care, food or comfort when they are in there. Hazel is now safe and waiting for a forever home of her own.
Hazel is shy with new people but she LOVES food and treats are definitely the way to her heart. She is learning to trust our rescuers and volunteers and is coming forward more and more for affection. She has been very playful with the other dogs in the kennels. Hazel needs a quiet home where she can take everything at her own pace. She loves to run around and play but being on a lead is very frightening for her so her family will need to be willing to take baby steps to making her feel more comfortable on the lead which may take several months. Hazel gets a lot of confidence from other dogs so would be suited to a home where there is an existing dog.
We do not know if Hazel has ever lived in a home so will require full training upon adoption.
