Fetcher Dog supporters raise £13858 on the recent Big Give Xmas Challenge - Thank you to everyone involved!!
Fetcher Dog took part in the recent Big Give Xmas Challenge (28th Nov-5th Dec) recently, the challenge was to cover the distance from Bosnia to the rescue centre in Kent, virtually, either by cycling, walking or running.
Fetcher Dog had a seven person team that covered over twenty miles per day each which totalled over 1000 miles. This is the journey that hundred of street dogs have made over the last seven years to reach the UK and their forever homes.
The fundraiser was match funded by a number of pledgers and The Reed Foundation up to a total of £6250, our supporters raised just over the £6250 required to take full advantage of the match funding. Many of the over 200 individual donations were eligible for Gift Aid which brought the final total to £13858.
Fetcher Dog's aim is to alleviate the suffering of dogs around the world focusing attention on street dogs in Bosnia and abandoned dogs in the dog pounds of the UK, the care and support of these dogs is costly so this final figure will help, greatly, towards achieving this aim.
Jordan writes:
'Thank you so much to everyone who donated to our Big Give campaign. We are so grateful to everyone who donated, shared, cheered us on and to those of you who pledged to be our match funders earlier in the year. We are so so happy with the result and the puppies are too. This money will go towards rescuing even more dogs in the new year!'
Thanks again from everyone at Fetcher Dog
