The customers of Tesco at Crooksfoot raise £450 for Fetcher Dog with a book donation scheme!

Thank you very much to Tesco at Crooksfoot who have raised £450 for Fetcher Dog and today some of the staff members who popped along to the centre, in Hastingleigh, to hand over the cheque to Stephanie, one of the founders of the charity.

Lizzy Brereton Says:

Around 6 weeks ago we introduced a book donation in store at Crooksfoot Tesco and with the massive help of our generous customers we have managed to raise £450 for Fetcher Dog- giving hope to abandoned dogs

This is an amazing organisation that rely solely on donations to fund the great work they do to help abandoned dogs find homes whilst also ensuring they are well kept and cared for.
Before we started raising money, I wasn’t aware of this charity and I’m sure will be the same for many of you.
Unfortunately they can only keep 40 dogs at a time and during summer months they notice a dip in adoptions. If you have the means to give a dog a loving home it is definitely worth a visit to their Facebook page. They also have an Amazon wish list and go fund me pages if you aren’t able to adopt but would still like to help in some way.
They are also taking donations of dog toys new or used.

Thank you to all of our customers at Crooksfoot Tesco for your donations and also thank you to everyone who has bought books in to keep our bookcase full.

It is wonderful to see our community come together and help where they can, so thank you again.

Fetcher Dog rely on the generosity and creativity of the local community and £450 will help the charity rescue more dogs from the streets of Bosnia and the dog pounds of the UK.

Thank you very much again to everyone involved.
