Transformation Tuesday - Zendaya
Fetcher Dog was originally started to rescue dogs from the streets and kill shelters of Bosnia; to help dogs that no one else was helping and to give them a chance of a happily ever after.
We have since expanded and now also take in rescue dogs from pounds across England but the dogs of Bosnia will always be a priority for us because they aren’t a priority for anyone else. Zendaya is an example of a wonderful dog from Bosnia that needed our help.
Zendaya and her puppy were found by our rescuer in Bosnia being hit, abused and neglected. She was forced to live outside, was severely underweight and was continuously pregnant.
Luckily, our rescuer was able to convince her owners to let her go and her and her puppy were taken to safety.
Unfortunately, her baby had gone through too much and died shortly after being rescued.
Despite what Zendaya had been through, she adjusted quickly and made a miraculous recovery. These dogs have a huge capacity to forgive humans even when they have been through terrible abuse and Zendaya is a wonderful example of that.
Zendaya is a firm favourite of our rescuer, Sejla who says, ‘Zendaya is the most loving dog in the world who has so much patience and so much love to give. She is just perfect’.
Zendaya has been great with all the dogs that have gone in and out of the kennels since her arrival and she is always our rescuers first choice to meet new dogs and welcome them to the group. She gives the shy dogs confidence, teaches the puppies how to play and is gentle and sweet with the seniors.
Zendaya is heading to our rescue centre in Kent very soon and we hope we can finally find her the wonderful family that she deserves.
